Scientific Name:  Acourus calamus       

Country of Origin:  Russia

Calamus is an herbaceous, perennial, aromatic, flag-like plant, flourishing in wet situations.  It has a herbal, warm, spicy, fragrance.

Calamus is also one of the ingredients used in the Holy Anointing oil.
