Spikenard Root

Scientific Name:  Nardostachys jatamansi       

Country of Origin:  India

In the Bible, Spikenard is the oil used by Mary to anoint Jesus' feet a few days before his death.  It was a much valued perfume and was very costly.

Spikenard has a spicy, earthy and musky fragrance and has historically been considered one of the most precious of incense substances.

Spikenard Root is difficult to procure and we only offer it in limited quantities.
