Victory In Jesus Christ

In this day and age, Victory in our lives is often determined by outward signs of prosperity and a life without trials and tribulations. However, true Victory took place at the cross when Jesus died for our sins. As Jesus was preparing for this day it did not look like Victory. He was mocked, tormented, betrayed and endured great physical pain. However, Jesus surrendered His will to the Father.

Luke 22:42

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Luke 23:44-46

And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. 46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hand I commend my spirit; and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

The key to living a victorious life is determined by our willingness to completely surrender our lives to Jesus, and trust He will bring forth His glory and sweet savour in our circumstances despite what the situation may look like.

2 Corinthians 2 :14

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: 16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
